Ce bâtiment illustre le style architectural bahay na bato, mélangeant les matériaux de construction philippins avec des éléments de design européens.
L'Institut National d'Histoire a installé un marqueur historique de niveau II en 2007, faisant de ce lieu une étape essentielle pour les visiteurs.
La poétesse Angela Manalang-Gloria a acquis la propriété en 1965, transformant l'ancien établissement commercial en résidence familiale.
