Freshkills Park est une ancienne décharge transformée en parc, située à Staten Island, New York.

Autrefois la plus grande décharge du monde, Freshkills Park a été transformé en oasis écologique depuis sa fermeture en 2001.

Le parc accueille divers événements culturels tels que l'observation des oiseaux, le kayak et les installations artistiques.

Couvrant 2 200 acres, il est presque trois fois la taille de Central Park et offre une variété d'activités récréatives.

C'est l'un des rares exemples dans le monde où un ancien site d'élimination des déchets a été transformé en parc public.
